You can do hard things.

I guess that’s the first lesson I want you to learn. It’s the first lesson I’m able to teach you because your mom can do hard things. This pregnancy has been a bit rough, but there’s nothing more worth having than you. So I can do hard things in order to receive the biggest blessing.

And you are a blessing. I’m so excited to meet you. I’m so excited for all of what’s to come in our lives.

You have the best family. Your dad is amazing. I’ve always hated when people name their kids the exact name as their dad, but that’s something I became okay with once I got to know your dad (& his dad). You have a great name with a strong history of great men. It will serve you well.

But you are my Trae 🥰🫶🏽 I can’t wait to hold you & see your smile. Your big sister is so funny. She’ll make you laugh right away! She’s the happiest kid I know. She’s surrounded by so much love. And all that will be yours too.

I’m lying here awake in the middle of the night & you’re inside my belly just kicking away. Your sister is here sleep taking up all the bed (so your dad had to sleep in her room lol) with her head lying against my pregnancy pillow. And it’s perfect. Convince her to make room for you & Dad, okay?

Can’t wait for the four of us to be all together. We’re (im)patiently waiting for your arrival. Although I need you to hold out until January. One more month, kid. Then you’ll be all baked & ready to go. We love you!
